What can I expect during my first therapy session?
During your first session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any questions you may have. It's also an opportunity for us to get to know each other and see if we're a good fit.
How long will therapy take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people find relief in a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term therapy. We will work together to determine a timeline that works best for you.
What types of services do you specialize in?
I specialize in a wide range of services including Christian Support, Depression Support, Anxiety Support, Trauma Recovery,
Self-Esteem Building, Domestic Violence Assistance, Relationship Guidance, Family Conflict Resolution, Grief Support, Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) Care, Life Transitions Support, and Mixed/Multi-racial Therapy. If you have a specific concern, feel free to reach out to see if I can help.
How often will I need to attend therapy sessions?
Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled weekly. However, this can vary depending on your needs and preferences. We can discuss what frequency would work best for you during our initial session.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Your privacy is important, and what you discuss in therapy is kept confidential except in certain legal exceptions (such as if there's a risk of harm to yourself or others).
Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
Yes, I do offer virtual therapy sessions. Virtual sessions provide flexibility and convenience, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home.
What approach do you use in therapy?
My therapeutic approach is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Spiritual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (S-CBT), and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC). I also incorporate techniques from Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Mindfulness, Assertiveness Training, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Grief Counseling.
You can schedule an appointment by contacting me via phone or email, or by submitting a consultation request form online. I'll be happy to discuss your needs and find a convenient time for our first session.
Therapy can be beneficial for anyone who is experiencing emotional distress, struggling with relationships, feeling stuck, or wanting to make positive changes in their life. If you're unsure, an initial consultation can help us determine if therapy is a good fit for you.
How much does therapy cost?
We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation by phone to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and address any questions you may have about our services. During this consultation, you can also schedule your first appointment if availability allows or be placed on our waiting list. Our Intake Session and Evaluation is $160. Our Individual Psychotherapy Sessions are $130 (for 53-60 minutes), $115 (for 45 minutes), and $100 (for 30 minutes).
We operate on a private pay basis only and do not accept insurance directly. However, most insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits that may cover a portion of your session fees once your deductible has been met.
